The Main Things

An MSD Family Communication that Cuts out the Clutter!

October 26, 2021

School Conferences, Keeping Students Safe at Events and Volunteers are the Main Things with Bret.

Main Thing 1 - School Conferences

Annual school conferences are a wonderful opportunity to engage in your child’s learning! School conferences with your child’s teacher(s) are coming up on Monday, November 22 and Tuesday, November 23. Conferences will be in-person, unless you request a virtual meeting. Look for specific information from your school about how to sign-up!

Main Thing 2 - Keeping Students Safe at Events

This Friday is the long awaited Black and Blue Bowl where North and South Medford football team’s square off in their annual rivalry game! Help us celebrate safely by keeping an eye on the kids you bring with you and please review this message before attending. Middle school students need to be with an adult to enter the stadium and high school students must show their student ID. We will see you under the lights at Spiegelberg this Friday!

Main Thing 3 - Welcoming Wonderful Volunteers!

We are looking forward to our welcoming volunteers back into our buildings. Per state guidelines, volunteers will need to follow the same vaccine mandate as staff. This requires a vaccination card, medical, or religious exception. Short-term visitors (ex. dropping off or picking up students, spectators, conferences) or individuals making deliveries do not need to submit proof of vaccination or exception. Parents or other family members that volunteer in the school or school-based program are subject to the rule and are required to comply. More details about volunteering can be found here.

Other Things

Principals Month

October is National Principals Month and we are thankful for each of our wonderful school principals. They hold students at the center of the work and bring our shared vision to life every day! We asked students about their principal; hear what they had to say here.

Halloween

Have a safe Halloween weekend and make sure you share your photos with us! You can message us on Instagram or Facebook, or drop them in the comments on our Facebook post on Halloween day. Happy Halloween!
