Kindergarten Round Up and Registration!
Dolphin Dash Fundraising is now LIVE!
We had a great kick off to our fundraising with an exciting magician assembly on Tuesday! Once we make it to our ½ way mark of $4,500 we will celebrate with a Beach Day! Then, let’s keep it going to achieve our goal of $9,000 so we can duct tape Mrs. Bishop and Mr. Gibson to the wall! If you haven’t already created your child’s webpage, follow this link to create it today: www.thegetmovincrew.com (click the star to “get registered”)! You can then easily share your site with family and friends for online donations. Donations of cash and check (made payable to Davis Elementary PTA) are also accepted but please return the envelope to the attention of “Davis PTA” and include your child’s name, grade and teacher. The actual Dolphin Dash Fun Run is Friday, April 15th at 5:30 PM. A Spring Picnic will follow with food, bounce houses and activities. Everyone is welcome to participate or help cheer on the runners!

Do You want to help 4th Grade become aerospace engineers?
As part of one of their engineering design units, the 4th grade students could use donations of the following materials:
• White coffee filters
o Small, 8” diameter (1 pack)
o Medium, 14” diameter (1 pack)
o Large, 18” diameter (1 pack)
• Sheer fabric/curtain liner (2)
• 9” x 12” felt squares, or by the yard (10)
• 12” tall clear plastic jars (approx.. 88oz) (4)
• Flat sheet, twin-size (1)
• Tissue paper (new/unwrinkled) (2 packs)
Plano ISD to Hold Bond Election information Meetings
2016 Bond Information Meetings to be Hosted by Superintendent at Six High Schools this Spring
Plano ISD community members are invited to attend any of six information meetings to be hosted this spring about the district’s May 7 bond election proposal. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian Binggeli will present information and answer questions.Meetings will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the district’s high schools on the following dates:
- March 28 (Monday) - Williams High School (auditorium), 1717 17th Street, Plano, TX 75074
- April 4 (Monday) - Clark High School (library), 523 Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, TX 75023
- April 6 (Wednesday) - McMillen High School (cafeteria), 750 N. Murphy Road, Murphy, TX 75094

About the May 7 Bond Election
On May 7, Collin County voters residing within the Plano ISD attendance zone will be asked to consider a single proposition to provide $481 million toward eight major project areas with no increase to the tax rate. If approved, all Plano ISD campuses will be impacted by district-wide security updates, renovations and facility upgrades, as well as technology improvements. Sponsor the Dolphin Dash Fun Run!
The Davis PTA has a great opportunity for business owners in our community! We are seeking sponsors for the upcoming Dolphin Dash (Fun Run) on April 15, 2016. The purpose of this event is to raise funds to provide enrichment assemblies/programs for Davis students and families (like last week's Perot Museum Night!) as well as campus improvements and classroom supplies. Sponsorships will be acknowledged through a variety of avenues based upon the level of sponsorship. If you would like a sponsorship packet, please contact Alison Hansard email@example.com. More information about student involvement and individual contributions for the Fun Run will be distributed in March.
Seeking Volunteers for a PTA Fun Run and Picnic Committee!
This is going to be AMAZING! We have an exciting new event for the Spring and a great volunteer opportunity. In efforts to support healthy living AND raise funds for the school, the Davis PTA is hosting a Fun Run & Spring Picnic on April 15th!
