Accelerated Reader Program

Amazing job these 2nd 6wks in AR. We doubled our points from the 1st 6wks and had a total of 7 classes meet their class goal!

Every Friday students are rewarded for achieving a milestone in their word count.

5th and 4th grade- 100,000 words

3rd grade- 50,000 words

2nd grade- 20,000 words

1st grade- 10,000 words

Family Literacy Night

We had another successful Family Literacy Night on October 21, 2015. We had a total of 86 students attend with a family member to read and test. Once again thank you staff for all your help.

We also had our "Monster Book Fair"

Library Dedication

On October 23, 2015 the library was dedicated to Mrs. Lopez. It was a very beautiful celebration for a wonderful librarian who touched the lives of so many people.

Learning About Butterflies

We were able to learn and read about butterflies thanks to the Texas Wildlife Discovery Trunks.

Bluebonnet Book Club

We started with our book club meetings in the month of October. So far we have 14 students who have qualified to be part of this club.

Poetry Writing at the Library

Using the book "My Many Colored Days" by Dr. Seuss students were asked to write a poem about their feelings using colors.
