Monday, September 16- Fall Concert
Location: Hillwood MS, Gym
Students Wear Dress Clothes
Example: Dress Pants and button down shirt. No jeans or tennis shoes.
5:30pm Set Up Gym (Wind Ensemble+Volunteers)
6:00pm Students Report in Dress Clothes to Gym and sit by band
6:00pm Warm Up
7:30pm Stack Chairs and Stands in Gym (Parents please help while student pack up instrument and directors supervise band hall)
Tuesday, September 17- Fundraiser Kick Off
Funds raised will go to Bus Transportation for events, Performance venue for Winter and Spring Concert at Northwood Church, Private Lesson Scholarships, Masterclasses and Clinicians, Recording Fees for Competition Submissions and any additional funds will go to Equipment.
Fundraising Goal: $30,000.
Students will need to fill out their "Potential Supporters List" with at least 20 unique names, emails, and phone numbers by following the instructions on the attached "HMS Band Fundraiser 2019" handout. This will need to be completed on Thursday, September 19.
Tuesday, September 24th, 4-5pm students will participate in the "40-minute live campaign" after school. Students that raise at least $150 will be invited to our band incentive trip on November 2nd!
October 8- Band EXPO
Location: Keller ISD Athletics Stadium
What is the Band EXPO?
It is a performance of all the Keller ISD Middle School and High School Bands
Parents- Please Attend!
Performers are Free. Tickets for Audience members are $5
Tickets can be purchased at the Fall Concert on Sept. 16 or at the door the day of the event
3:45-4:15pm Bring Dinner and eat in Band Hall or Outside at Tables
4:15pm Load Buses
6pm Doors Open for Parents at Stadium
9pm Dismissal to Parents at Stadium (no return bus)
Music in flip folder: Husky Fight Song, September, Womp Womp
-Wear Band T-shirt, Jeans and Tennis Shoes
-Bring Lyre and Flip Folder with music inside.
(We will NOT use music stands- the flip folder holds your music and the lyre clips to your instrument or body. If you are an instrument that doesn't have a lyre- purchase a flute lyre which sits on your arm.)
Football players who are playing at a game that evening are excused from playing with the band at this event.
Friday, October 18- HMS Band Night @CHS Football Game
Parents will Pick Students Up at Half Time at the Keller ISD Athletic Complex.
Saturday, October 19- District Auditions
