Dear Families~
PHEW! After what feels like quite a sprint with this wonderful staff, preparing and planning for this crazy school year, we are ready and so, so excited, to "see" your kids next week.
Before we get to all the information I need to share with you, I wanted to say thank you, from the the bottom of my heart, for the flexibility and understanding you've demonstrated over these past weeks. It is truly a testament to this amazing community how our families helped our kids understand and get excited about a schedule that may not look the way they thought it would look last spring. Thank you for encouraging them to see the opportunity in trying, and even perhaps learning to love, something new. Our mindset matters, and I am grateful that you're supporting your kids in seeing the best in what continues to be a challenging time for all of us. THANK YOU!
I realized in my Question and Answer Zoom last night, that in my eagerness to communicate the details of this school year, I haven't been clear enough about our first two weeks of school, where all Everitt Students, both hybrid and 100% remote learners, will learn at home in live virtual classes with their teachers. This newsletter is all about our first two weeks: August 24 through September 4. Students will hear this same information in their CREW class on Monday, August 24 at 7:20am.
Please make sure that in the next couple days, your student fires up their Chromebook, logs into their Google Account, and finds their Google Classroom. They should see all of their classes, including Crew, on their dashboard. Please reach out to Mr. Jonson at Chris.Jonson@jeffco.k12.co.us if they are having trouble getting logged on.
As always, thank you for sharing your kids with us, and thank you for welcoming me to this extraordinary community!

Having trouble viewing your student's schedule on Infinite Campus? This tutorial will help!
Did you receive a printed schedule that looks like this?
If so, and if you're understably confused, please know that:
- 1 and 1 RL are the same class; 2 and 2RL are the same class; 3 and 3RL are the same class; and 4 and 4RL are the same class.
- 1/1RL is your student's 1st period class; 2/2RL is 2nd period; 3/3RL is 3rd; and 4/4RL is 4th.
- Students will attend all 4 first quarter classes every day aligned with the bell schedules you see above.
- If that explanation doesn't help, don't hesitate to call us at (303) 982-1580. We'll be happy to walk you through your student's schedule.
Let us help!
A Word from the Music Department
Choir
Choir club will be an extra-curricular group of students who are interested in honing their vocal abilities outside of the regular learning model this year. Students will have a chance to work in small groups and individually with Mr. Snyder on a variety of skills, including, Solo Singing, Auditions (Musical Theatre, Choir, Honor and All-State Events, Talent Show), and Sight Reading. All of which will help to put you ahead when choir can resume as normal. This will be extremely self paced so it is important that you are enthusiastic about Choir Club and willing to put in the time and hard work necessary.
If you are interested please fill out the form below in order to be considered. I hope to "see" you all there! https://sites.google.com/jeffcoschools.us/emschoirs/home
Orchestra
A virtual orchestra experience will be available for continuing orchestra students who have chosen 100% remote learning, and for all hybrid orchestra students during the quarters they are not enrolled in orchestra. Eligible students will be invited to a Google Classroom with more information and resources.
Band
