Principal's Message
Prior to the start of the trial, the judge thanked us for serving and stated, "we don't ask a lot of the citizens of this country, but doing jury duty is one way we do ask you to give back". I've been thinking a lot about this, and while it may be true, I think we should ask more from one another. Our country, our community and our school are better when people do more, not less to support the greater good.
Thank you to those who volunteer here at Wilson Creek or other places in our community and for the ways you take care of each other. It's important for our kids to see us giving back and for us to teach them to look out for others in all the ways they can. This is the best way I know how to inspire a brighter future. Let's do it together!
Sincerely,
Stephanie Haga, Principal

2) We are hosting our first ever Vocabulary Parade. We invite you to read more details about the parade and how YOU can help in the flyer below.
Staff Appreciation Week February 13-17
Staff Appreciation Week is coming up soon (February 13th-17th), and the PTO needs your help!
The theme this year is Wilson Creek Teachers and Staff are a Homerun. There are several ways to show how much you care. First, you can volunteer - check out the SignUpGenius, there are slots for the week before to help setup and throughout the week. You can donate an Amazon Gift Card, please use this link so we can track how many have been purchased. Lastly, you can send in thank you notes throughout the week. And if you have any baseball related party supplies, please bring them to school no later than Thursday, February 16th, so we can decorate for the staff lunch on Friday.

Valentine's Treats
As we approach Valentine’s Day, it is important to ensure that all homemade candy, desserts, baked goods, or other edible items are not sent into school. Students are permitted to bring Valentine's with store bought candies that are individually wrapped (no nuts please). Please know that taking this measure will help us maintain a safe environment for all students with allergies, etc. You can help us protect your student(s) by requesting that they not eat anything given to them by another person, anything that they have not brought from your home or anything not in its original sealed package.
Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping all of our students safe at school!
Lost and Found-Items to be donated February 17
As the weather has gone from hot to cold and back again, a number of coats, jackets and hoodies are lost, found, and unclaimed. Please place names in your child’s clothing so that we may promptly return lost articles to him/her. A Lost and Found rack is in the atrium by the cafeteria.
Our custodial staff picks up items left on the playground and around school. We hang them up on our lost and found racks and students can come by to look at the items to see if they can find anything they have misplaced. Any items that remain after 2/17/2023 will be donated.
Lost & Found Rack: Coats, Sweaters, Hats, Water Bottles, Books
Lost & Found in the Office: Glasses, jewelry, wallets, purses, small personal items
