✔️ Volunteers
We still have lots of volunteer spots open! Unfortunately, we’re now faced with the difficult decision of closing some of our games and inflatables!! Please sign up as soon as possible through the following link à http://bit.ly/EHGCarnivalVolunteers
✔️ Pre-Sale Orders
Please check to see that your orders came home in your student’s backpack on Thursday. If you purchased a Greene School Drawstring Backpack, that would have come home with your Pre-Sale Order. We would HIGHLY recommend labeling your student’s backpack with a Sharpie in case it should be misplaced during the Carnival.

GREENE’S AUTHOR VISIT IS HAPPENING SOON
Nationally-acclaimed author Shelley Pearsall will be visiting E.H. Greene on February 20 and 21. Your students have worked very hard on the reading contest and on making projects related to the author’s books.
THIS WEEK your student will have the opportunity to submit up to 3 Pearsall books for autographing. The author will autograph them while she’s here, and then we will return the books to your student shortly thereafter.
To submit a book(s), your student will need to fill out the proper form, put the form in the book, then put the book into the brown grocery bag located in their homeroom. The form is available in the homerooms, in the Activity Bin, the media center, and on the link below. At the end of the week, February 14, the brown bags will be collected and brought to the media center.

STRIVE Community Service Project
STRIVE students are helping to support SWEET CHEEKS DIAPER Bank and our local animal shelters by collecting items to donate to these needy communities. Please consider sending in a pack of diapers or a toy, food or treat for a pet. Our campaign will run from February 11- February 18. Help us make a difference in the lives of our neediest populations.
What Is Diaper Need?
Diaper need is the lack of a sufficient supply of diapers to keep a baby clean, dry and healthy, and it’s a reality in our city. There are over 16,000 diaper-wearing children in the Greater Cincinnati area experiencing diaper need each month. At an average rate of six diapers per day per child (and more than double that for newborns), diaper-wearing children in poverty in the United States require more than 5.8 billion diapers annually to keep them clean, dry and healthy. For this reason, we started the only diaper bank serving the entire Greater Cincinnati area to fill the diaper need gap in our community. By assisting families during what can be one of the most challenging times in a parent’s life, we’re working to build a strong community for the future.
The facts are staggering:
Every day, 1 in 3 families in America struggle to afford diapers for their children.
Thank you for your support!
