Polar Plunge
Do you want to see your teachers or classmates freeze?
What is the Polar Plunge?
The Polar Plunge is an event held in the winter where people jump into a lake or a large body of water to raise money for a charitable organization.
Who will participate?
Several Veritas staff members have willingly volunteered to take the polar plunge.
Cold enough for yeah?
If you thought that's going to be cold, wait until you see some of our own Veritas students take the plunge with our brave staff members.
This is the organization we're supporting
The Special Olympics is an international competition, modeled after the Olympic Games.
How you can help?
There will be buckets in the classroom of the participating teachers. To donate money, put as much money as you want in their buckets. The goal for each teacher is $75 dollars, but you can donate more than our target goal. There will also be buckets for the students who will be participating in the plunge so be on a look out for them. If you want to see the staff and students take the plunge you can buy a ticket to ride a bus to Lake Michigan for $3. The sign-up sheet for the buses will be on the bulletin board in the hallway. If you want, you can take the plunge too. For information regarding that, please talk to a service learning student or Mandy.
