Principal's Message
Dear Harper Families,
I cannot believe that the school year is half over! I hope it has been as rewarding and positive for you as it has been for me, as I have gotten to learn all about the Harper community.
Next Wednesday, February 5, the 1st semester report cards will be viewable. I encourage you to talk to your child(ren) before this date about the first half of the school year. Ask them how their classes are going...Ask them what is going well and what is challenging...And most importantly, ask them to set some goals for the 2nd half of the school year…
Reflecting and goal setting is so important and can help students become even more invested in their own education. We look forward to continuing to work hard to help the students grow even more throughout the 2nd half of the school year.
Have a nice weekend!
Aaron

Tik Tok Viral Video Message Information: Here is warning from the Wilmette Fire Department: Do Not Try TickTok Penny Challenge Due to Serious Risk of Fire. Fire officials in Wilmette and across the country are sending a warning about a dangerous viral video that shows sliding a penny behind a partially plugged-in phone charger. Doing this can result in a short in the electrical outlet which can immediately cause a fire in a home or school and severely injure anyone in close proximity. There are already incidents of this dangerous activity being investigated across neighboring communities. The Wilmette Fire Department asks anyone that witnesses this behavior or sees evidence of a burnt outlet to contact 911 immediately. Officials also urge parents to talk to their kids about this dangerous penny challenge.
- Summer School Enrichment Program information HERE. Registration is done online and open February 17.

He wanted to let us know that Thornwood Ave. (between Dartmouth and Hunter) will be closed beginning January 29th thru February 7th between 7am-4pm. They are demoing a home (2336 Thornwood). There will be detour signs.
