New schedule for Will Richardson

Register now for this March 13 event in Emmetsburg

While winter weather interfered with the original date, we're pleased to announce that Will Richardson will join us on March 13 at Emmetsburg High School.

The new schedule is:
9-11 a.m. - Teacher Session.

11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. - Administrator Session.

1-3 p.m. - Repeat Teacher Session.

There will be no lunch served and no break out sessions.

Will will help us rethink our roles as schools, classrooms and educators. This session will discuss the paths that a number of “bold schools” are taking to fundamentally redefine their value as places of learning, not of content and teachers. We’ll discuss the challenges of remaining an “old” school, define the main characteristics of “bold” schools, look at schools that are already bridging the gap, and suggest ways to begin relevant, “bold” conversations around real change in our own schools and communities.

Registration can be completed here. (If you had already registered a team for the original date, there is no need to register again. This would be for new registrations only). Deadline is March 3. For more information, contact Jeff Herzberg, chief administrator, at Prairie Lakes AEA.
