Little Big Sing
We are sure our Year 1 and 2 classes enjoyed the opportunity of enjoying singing together with a large group of children from Ripon schools in the Cathedral on Tuesday. A wonderful moment was when the children sang 'One Voice.' One of our Year 2 pupils bravely sang a solo and was joined by a few more children, building until the whole cathedral was singing along. A truly special event! Thank you to all family and friends who supported the Big Sing, we hope you enjoyed it too!

Building Works
A letter was sent home on Monday explaining our exciting plans for the Early Years and Oscar's classrooms. These works will focus on improving toilet provision, with a door installed between Nursery and Reception so that children have better access to the outdoor areas. We will also be developing the kitchen area in Oscar's.
It is expected that these works will take approximately 4 weeks to complete and will have some impact on the daily organisation of the school. The Nursery outdoor area will be out of use until 18th March and the Nursery children will be taught in the classroom that is used by Oscar's for the period of the build. To avoid congestion in the Reception corridor, we are asking parents and carers to drop off and pick up Nursery children via the Oscar's gate until building works are complete.
We are not expecting any disruption for children in the Reception class and pick up and drop off arrangements will be as normal.
Dropping off and Picking Up: Safeguarding children is a high priority and particularly with the building works and changes to morning and end of day routines for a minority of children, can we please remind all parents and carers that they should not be using the staff car park. Most deliveries are planned for before 8.30am to have as little impact as possible, but parents who use Oscar's will not be able to use the staff car park and must accompany children across it please. The workmen will be leaving at around 4.30pm, so please take care if you are collecting from Oscar's or an after school club, thank you.
Enjoying a sunny day in Oscar's!
