Holy Name Highlights

Summer Edition - August 3, 2018

Note from the Principal's Desk

Greetings Giants!

We are now just a few days away from the start of another school year! The summer has flown by and we are looking forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday! As a reminder, we do have our Back to School Afternoon on Sunday following the 11:30am Mass. We will gather in the church to start and then send everyone out to their classrooms. This is a great time to meet the teachers, drop off school supplies and get things ready for the new year!

As we approach Tuesday morning, please remember to be patient during arrival and dismissal. Know that our #1 priority at those times is the safety of our students and staff as they are in the parking lot. Plan to give a little extra time as it likely won’t move as efficiently as it does at the end of the year!

There has been a fun buzz around the school this past week as teachers and students have been coming in! We are looking forward to a great year!

God Bless,

Mr. Kitchens

Oktoberfest Sign-Ups!

The Holy Name Catholic Church Oktoberfest, scheduled this year for October 5th and 6th, is a fun and family-friendly festival with great live music, delicious authentic homemade German food and desserts, and popular adult beverages. It's one of Holy Name's biggest fundraisers of the year, and because a significant portion of the Parish budget is used to support the school, this fundraiser also directly benefits our students.

The Holy Name Oktoberfest Committee is now seeking volunteers to help make it a success. Please consider donating just a few hours of your time in support of this important fundraiser for Holy Name students, teachers, and parishioners. (Note: While Roncalli students are welcome to volunteer as service hours, our Holy Name kids are not old enough to sign up.) Use the SignUp Genius link below, or call the Parish Office at 317-784-5454. We can't do this without you!
