Scholarships
Many colleges offer Merit-Based or Academic Based scholarships to students applying. There are many scholarships available that are not advertised here. Always ask the college if there are any scholarships you can apply for and create a fast web account.
Coca-Cola Scholarship: apply at www.coca-colascholars.org by 10/31. Must be a motivated, dedicated, involved senior with at least a 3.0 GPA.
Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizens: Is open to all senior class students. DAR good citizen must have the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. apply by requesting a nomination in the Counseling Center.
ELKS SCHOLARSHIPS: Legacy Awards apply by January 31, 2020 Most Valuable students, NYS Elks Association apply by December 1, 2019 more information available in the counseling office or on line at elks.org
HORATIO ALGER SCHOLARSHIP: The Horatio Alger association seeks to assist students who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance in overcoming adversity, strength of character, financial need, a good academic record, commitment to pursue a college education, and a desire to contribute to society. Applications can be found on line at scholars.horatioalger.org and must be completed by 10/25/19
WALMART FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS- several scholarships for employees/families and non-employees with varying criteria and due dates. Check it out at the Wal-Mart Foundation site on the web.
2019 QuestBridge National College Match: QuestBridge is a nationally recognized nonprofit that connects high achieving, low income students to full four scholarships at the nation’s best colleges. More information is available in the Counseling Office.
Mortuary Science Scholarship: All students who are planning on enrolling in a mortuary science program. Applications are available on line at www.NFSGI.com/scholarship
Monroe Professional Engineers Society: Engineering Scholarships available to graduating seniors who plan to study engineering at an abet accredited college starting the Fall of 2020. Applications are available in the counseling office or online at www.monroepes.org
The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International: Students who plan on attending college to study Education should apply. Application are available in the counseling office.
