Mrs. Smith’s Snapchat…
Hello Lakeside Parents and Guardians,
Under the guidance of the Marion County Public Health Department, all schools in MSD Warren Township closed through Friday, March 20th due to the Coronavirus based on an overabundance of caution. All buildings will be closed and practices, games, and events canceled during this time. Our official Spring Break will be Saturday, March 21st through Sunday, April 5th. The PTA fundraiser will be extended until we return.
A free grab and go lunch will be provided on each of the 6 days available for pick up at Warren Central High School, door 1, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM for all MSD Warren students.
Please watch for further announcements concerning school closings on TV or radio or visit our web site at www.warren.k12.in.us.

How Can I Keep Them Busy?
- READ, READ, READ!
I've been creating a time to read aloud together. At least 20 minutes each day is great, but I'm trying to spend even more than 20 minutes each day reading to them.
- Pretend Play
Dress up, build forts, role play
- Write using chalk
Get them outside with some sidewalk chalk. This is a great time to practice writing letters and their name.
- Be a detective
Send your children around your home looking for items of different colors, shapes, numbers, beginning with different letters, etc
- Shaving cream writing
Use shaving cream to write letters and numbers
- Play games
Play board games and card games or make up your own games
- Color/Draw
- Listen to music
- Complete a puzzle
Scholastic
Scholastic has created a learn at home page:
www.scholastic.com/learnathome
The Scholastic Learn at Home website does not require a username or password and is open freely to all, on any device. They are designed to limit the need for printing and allow students to learn independently or with their families.
The site supports students with approximately three hours of learning opportunities per day, including projects, articles and stories, virtual field trips, reading and geography challenges, and more. These daily learning opportunities were carefully curated by our editors to reduce the burden on teachers and families needing to create meaningful learning experiences.
