Recognitions: Cambrian Employees' & Board Members' 5 Years of Service
Dr. Andrews and the Board recognized and celebrated the years of service of Cambrian School District employees. Dr. Andrews presented the years of service awards to staff on the CSD team for 5 years:

2021-22 School Calendar Approved
The Governing Board voted to approve the proposed 2021-22 school year calendar. The proposed calendar was reviewed by representatives from both the Cambrian District Teachers' Association and the California State Employees' Association with a positive response. In developing the calendar options, consideration was given to aligning the calendars to the high school district's as much as possible.
The 2021-22 school year calendar reflects one hundred eighty (180) student days and one hundred eighty-five (182) teacher work days. The calendar also includes: three (3) days of professional development for teachers funded by AB 86, one (1) additional day for new teachers, and ten (10) days of Transitional Kindergarten - 5th grade conferences. Resolution 20-21-17: Observance of a Holiday on an Alternate Date
The Governing Board of Trustees voted to approve Resolution 20-21-17: Observance of a Holiday on an Alternate Date. Ed Code 37220 (e) allows the Governing Board to revise the date that schools close in observance of any holiday except Veteran's Day through the adoption of a resolution. The Board voted to revise the observance of Lincoln's birthday to be Friday, February 18, 2022, instead of the state accepted date of Friday, February 11, 2022. Communications Plan Update 2020-21
Coordinator of Marketing, Communication, and Community Engagement, Mrs. Dawn Klavon, updated the Governing Board on our current communication plan and ways the District is keeping communication ongoing and enhancing our two-way communication. Mrs. Klavon shared that she will be sending out an end of year Communication survey for families and staff as a way to guide decisions for next school year. CSD Plan for Expelled Youth, 2021-24
Ms. Maggie Spehar, Director of Student Services, and Mr. Steven Fisher, Student Services Program Specialist, updated the Governing Board and recommended changes for the Cambrian School District Plan for Expelled Youth (2021-24). Education Code Sections 48916.1 and 48926 requires school district governing boards to approve a triennial expulsion plan. Construction Project Support Contract Amendment (Non-Measure R)
The Governing Board voted to approve a non-Measure R contract amendment. RGM Kramer, Inc. has been supporting the Cambrian School District with construction projects for many years. The contract amendment is for an additional $20,000 which would bring the total contract for additional services for non-Measure R projects and improvements to $45,000.
