"The second Great Awakening"
Religious Revival
Religious Revival
There was a revival of religious feelings, also called as "The Second Great Awakening". Many religious people such as the Methodist, Baptists, and other Protestant groups held outdoor religious services and won new converts.
How did this started?
It all started during the years 1790s and 1830s when political leaders didn't like the fact that many people started preaching out in the streets about their God, so they started kicking out all religious believers. The people moved out to what is now known as America and the greatest nations with the most religions in it because of the freedom we have now.
Why and how do we remember the "The Second Great Awakening"
The Great awakening helped us to have the right to have freedom of religion which is The 1st Amendment written in the Constitution. Also is best known because of their large camp meetings that thousands of people attended and will convert that same day to the religion.
