Happy Retirement Mr. Hale!
After sharing his knowledge and skills with Strongsville City Schools for 26 years, Bob Hale has hung up his tool belt. His friendly demeanor and love for #2 screwdrivers will be missed. In his retirement, "Cleveland's Most Sought After Benefit Auctioneer™" will enjoy traveling coast to coast helping charities.
Teachers Challenging Students With MakerSpace In Our Classrooms...Spheros & Ozobots On Parade!
Caitlyn Choe had her AP Computer Science Principles students not only learn how to code Spheros but use all available materials, including the 3D Printers, to design parade floats! Look up her on Twitter (@MsChoe27) to see view more pictures and videos of the parade.
Leanne Ambroziak's third-grade classes used division problems to code a scaled path of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade using Ozobots and floats they created! Thanks to Ms. Scotta & Mrs. Frenchik for their help.
Student-Teachers Can Now Request Access To Their Own SCSMUSTANGS Google Account
The Technology Department is continually reviewing policies to ensure we are meeting the needs of our students and staff. With our Learning Ecosystem being heavily dependant on Google WorkSpace, student-teachers and their cooperating teacher can now request a SCSMUSTANGS Google account by completing this Form. These accounts only have access to Google WorkSpace products like Drive, Meet, Calendar, etc. Student-teachers will not be provided access to PowerSchool or any other programs the district currently purchases. Even though student-teachers will have access to a GMail account, all communication to students and their families needs to continue to come from the cooperating teacher, not the student-teacher.
New Process To Request Instructional Programs
This year, the Technology Department is providing you a voice to request new instructional technology (programs, hardware, devices, etc.). We have created an Instructional Technology Request Form to establish a standard process for the research and acquisition of instructional technology for our district.
This Form is live and will be available till April 30th for any staff member who is interested in using or acquiring new instructional technology for the 2022-2023 school year. This Form needs to be completed prior to any agreement to terms of service, purchase order, donation, or grant submission! Our goal is to have all instructional programs for the 2022-2023 school year identified prior to the 2022 summer break. This will assist us in designing professional development opportunities and reduce the stress of introducing nonessential software during the academic school year.
Any questions about this Form or the process should be directed to Dave Binkley at dbinkley@scsmsutangs.org.
First Semester Pear Deck Champions
Congratulations to Jason Frederick for engaging his students with the most distinct presentations and Brittany Sermak for providing her students with the most moments of engagement! Thanks to Pear Deck for the swag bags and Jessica Frenchik for organizing this recognition.

Tutorials On Submitting a Tech Help Desk Request
The Technology Department now utilizes SchoolDude as a district-wide help desk for staff. We are asking staff to utilize this platform to report tech issues, ask for tech support, request assistance with live streaming an event, or suggest a new program.
