iRun4Life
On Friday, Sept 20, 2019, four Buckingham students helped present the Robert B. Pollock Elementary School in Philadelphia with $6,500 worth of much-needed athletic and recess equipment. These items were purchased with funds raised during the Spring 2019 iRun4Life Gives Back Fundraiser.
The four Buckingham students were: Quinn White, Grahm Hamilton, Samantha Taylor, and Mina Senior. They helped unload all of the equipment, unpack all of the boxes, arranged the items on the stage, and then engaged with many of the Pollock Elementary students.
iRun4LIfe would like to thank these students and the Buckingham Elementary staff and families for their generosity..
The Doylestown Library
The Doylestown library will be under construction from October through December. We will be open for most of that period. There will be a two week period between October 21 and November 15 and where we will have reduced hours, and only be open in the evenings and on weekends. Due to the weather dependent nature of the project, the two week period could start anytime during that month.
CB Symphony - Music Department Fundraiser at Ooka!
In July of 2020, members of the CB West, East, & South High School Orchestras will embark on a Study Abroad trip to the Stirling Bridge International Arts Festival. We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Ooka Doylestown. They have designed a Scottish- inspired sushi roll for us, called the Symphony Roll. It will be on their menu for the month of October, and they are generously donating 100% of its profits to us! This money will be used to lower the cost of those going on the Scotland Trip. Please see the attached flyer and picture of the roll- it’s delicious!
On Tuesday, 10/1, the CB Music Department will host a trip kick-off dinner at Ooka Doylestown from 5:00-9:00 PM. We invite the community to join us for dinner that evening. A world-renowned Scottish bagpiper will welcome you, there will be auction items available, HS student string quartets serenading you, and the Symphony Roll will be premiered. If you can’t join us for dine-in, take-out is also available. Please consider ordering our roll at this event and/or throughout the month of October. Thank you in advance for your support of our students!
