Baby sleeping basics
By establishing good sleeping habits you can prevent sleeping problems before they start. You need to know how to make a sleeping schedule for you and your baby. Often give or take tips from other parents on getting your baby to sleep the amount he/she needs. Cribs, and bassinets can help along with swaddling your baby.
Cry it out method
The cry it out method is where you leave your baby alone to cry for as long as it takes for them to fall asleep. There are many that say it's okay to let a baby cry for a specified period of time (a very short period of time) before offering comfort.
No tears method
The no tears method is where you comfort your baby and give him want he wants until he falls asleep. Those who favor a no tears method believe that bedtime offers an opportunity to connect with your child by developing quiet, comfortable nighttime rituals and by quickly responding to your baby's requests for food and comfort.
Night weaning method
The weaning method is where you try to get your baby off of his/her bottle at night. It's different for each baby, but between the ages of 4 and 6 months, most babies get enough calories during the day to sustain them for five or six hours at night.
