Proper posture and techniqe
What is proper posture and technique? Proper posture is the way a typists sits the way the typists arms, wrists, fingers, legs, and feet are placed. Proper technique is the form and keying style that a typists uses while operating his/her keyboard. Why is this important you may ask yourself? It is important because if you don’t follow these techniques it may result in fatal or severe injury. Be sure to follow these techniques below to avoid this.
One of the techniques is to sit up straight with your back against the chair. If not this could cause back pain a common complaint from most people. This pain may take several weeks to go away completely.
You also always want to have your elbows by your side. You never want to do zombie or chicken arms (the way you have your arms spread out in front of you). So keep your keyboard close at the edge of the desk to prevent this.

You also want to have your wrists low. But you never want them touching the keyboard. So you want your wrists low but not touching the keyboard. Ok repeat it wrists low but not touching the keyboard.
You want your body to be centered and facing the computer. So sit up straight and tall and center yourself in front of that computer. Place your chair directly up to your desk not far away and start typing.
Feet flat on the floor not dangling up in the air. This may be hard because you r sitting up straight with your back against the chair. So you can get a few books and place them under your feet.
Fingers curved naturally not arched or flat. But curved and perfect. This will help you type better and faster also a lot easier.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is repetive strain on your wrists and fingers. While typing for a long time can result in this condition. The delicate tendons in your wrists and forearms feel too much strain from such typing work. This could be severe and require surgery. It is also irreversible which means you may have difficulty typing or gripping something for that matter. Some of the symptoms of Carpal tunnel syndrome
