District 109 Community Update
December 18, 2020
Staying Safe During Break
We know this will be a holiday season unlike any previous. It will be tough to not carry on traditions of the past. Please continue to follow safe practices and guidance from health experts so that we can minimize community spread. For those who are traveling, we kindly ask for you to be home by the time 109 Online instruction resumes on Monday, January 4, so that there is a two-week gap to further reduce risk prior to our students returning.
Meet The Incoming Superintendent
The Board of Education has hired Mr. Mike Simeck to be the Superintendent of Schools for DPS 109 starting July 1, 2021. Mr. Simeck has been the superintendent for Districts 67 & 115 in Lake Forest since 2012. You can read more about him here.
