Finals Week Well-Care Walks

Getting Started Teaching Online Courses
Need “certification” to teach online this spring? Want a quick refresher of online teaching best practices? This self-paced course in Folio provides faculty with the pedagogical support to design and deliver effective online courses. Completion of this course will "certify" faculty to teach online courses at Georgia Southern.
Web Accessibility: Self-Paced Online Workshop
This is a Self-Paced Online Workshop Supporting Inclusive Excellence: Learn how to meet federal guidelines for accessibility and make your electronic documents, digital media, email and online technologies accessible. Available in December.
Teaching Online Courses (TOC) Program
The Teaching Online Courses (TOC) Program prepares and certifies faculty to deliver and design online courses at Georgia Southern University. Upon completion of the TOC online course and Design Practicum, participants will be awarded a Teaching Online Courses Program certificate.
TOC Dates: February 1 – March 14 (6 weeks)
Design Practicum: March 22 – April 11 (3 weeks) (auto-enrolled)
Deadline: January 25, Monday

Improving Your Online Course Program (IYOC)
Have you been teaching online for a while? Ready for a fresh look at your course? Experienced online instructors are invited to register for the Quality Matters® (QM) online workshop "Improving Your Online Course" (IYOC).
IYOC Dates: February 16, Tuesday – March 8, Monday (3 weeks)
Inclusive Practices in the Classroom FLC
This FLC is part of the USG Chancellor's Learning Scholars (CLS) program. Each FLC will meet once every three weeks from 11 - noon and will be led by Dr. Arpita Saha or Dr. Diana Botnaru.

Call for Proposals
The Faculty Senate Faculty Development Committee (FDC) is pleased to announce the availability of funding in support of faculty professional development. Funded by the University, this program is designed to provide time and resources for the enhancement of the teaching-learning process with emphasis directed toward classroom instruction.
Requests may include activities/events that allow faculty members to upgrade skills in their discipline, develop innovative teaching strategies, or pursue other creative projects that affect the instructional process.
