Fourth Grade News

Week of September 8-12

Recorders for Music Class

Please take a look at the gold form that went home in Friday folders this week. Mrs. Lemen, our music teacher, is asking that you fill out and return at your earliest convenience. They will start using them in December, but it takes 4-6 weeks to order them. Thank you in advance.

Multiplication Practice

Please make sure your child is practicing their multiplication facts at home. We recommend downloading and app on their device for practicing multiplication facts. Also, we encourage them to go to the Math Magician website and practice as well. We do multiplication timed tests on a daily basis, and students will be able to tell you if they're working on 4s, 6s, etc. When the students pass their 12s, they get recognized over the intercom during Dr. Fellhauer's Announcements. 10 to 15 minutes each night can be VERY helpful! Thanks for your support!

Parent Volunteers

If you would be interested in volunteering at the school this year or going on a field trip with your child's class, we would love to have you. The following is the criteria:

  • Parents who work directly with students or go on a class field trip must have a background check. Parents are responsible for the $12.00 fee.
  • Parents must also fill out a confidentiality form.
  • All forms are located in the front office.
  • Parents who are making copies, helping with bulletin boards, etc. and are NOT working with children, do not need a background check.
  • Let us know ASAP, if you're interested in volunteering or going on a field trip, as it takes a little bit of time to get through the process.
