Winter Activity Day
See the following details for our upcoming Activity Day on Friday, January 18. Students have received information/details. The same details have been provided below.
6th Grade Ice Arena
The grade level is planning to take a community building field trip to the Cedar Rapids Ice Rink. We will be going Friday, January 18th. Franklin will be paying the admission fees. Sixth grade students will be split into two groups. Your student can tell you which group he/she is a part of. When students are at school, they will participate in a PBIS celebration with their homeroom class. Lunch will be provided at school.
In order to go to the Ice Arena, students must return their waiver signed by a parent/guardian. Any student who does not return the signed waiver will be staying at Franklin all day.
7th Grade Westdale Bowling
7th Grade is planning to take a community building field trip to Westdale Bowling Center. We will be going Friday, January 18th, with buses departing around 9:00 a.m. and returning around 12:45 p.m.
Students can bring their own lunch, purchase it at the bowling alley, or order one from school. If you’d like to see the food menu at the bowling center, visit their website (http://westdalebowl.com/Home/Food-Beverage); a basket averages $7 and a pop $3. Food/drinks from outside the bowling alley may not be ordered or delivered. Kids may also bring money for Lazer Tag ($5), lazer maze ($3), pool, video games, or snacks. Bowling and shoes will be covered by the team.
8th Grade Ski Trip
Students received a letter with information on Thursday, December 20. You'll also find an electronic form in this e-Newsletter.
