Jessica Lee McEwen
What you need to know!
A little Background Information
My name is Jessica McEwen. I am currently a junior at Middle Tennessee State University and am pursuing a degree in teaching. My focus is interdisciplinary studies k-6. I have an amazing boyfriend who has allowed me to quit my job as a pre-k teacher in order to focus on school. We have a four year old little boy named Truett who is the best kid I know, and a German Shepherd mix named Sam.
What led me to teaching
When I was in high school I had an amazing Chemistry teacher named Mrs. Martin. She made me love going to her class because she was so helpful and understanding. When I graduated, I initially wanted to be a reconstructive surgeon for children. However, soon after college began, I realized I could not handle blood. After taking a trip home, I ran into Mrs. Martin who asked me if I had ever thought about teaching. The following semester I changed my major and began taking Education classes.
