iPad and Books Fees Have Been Posted to Skyward

Your child's book and IPad rental fees have been posted. Fees may be paid anytime via EFunds or by sending in a check made out to Hoosier Road Elementary. Be sure to put checks in a sealed envelope and include your student’s name, teacher’s name, and student ID (lunch number). Unfortunately, if you are paying with cash, we cannot make change nor can we process credit or debit cards in the office. All book fees need to be paid in full no later than October 3rd, unless payment arrangements have been prearranged with the school treasurer (Jennifer Eichenauer: jeichenauer@hse.k12.in.us).

How to Make Online Payments

If you would like to pay your book fees/device rental or add money to your child's lunch account using a credit/debit card, please login to your child's skyward account and click on "District Links" (top right corner of Skyward) and then on "eFunds Online Payments". If you have not created an eFunds account, you will need to do so. You can link your child to your eFunds account using your child's school ID/lunch number (can be found in Skyward under the "Student Info" tab and is labeled "Other ID"). Once you are logged into eFunds, you will click on "Pay for Optional Fees" to pay your child's book fees/device rental or you will click on "Fund Lunch" to add money to their lunch account. Please note that you will need to know your child's book fee amount from Skyward and manually enter that amount into eFunds. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the school office at 317-915-4240.

3rd Grade Vision Screening

Our 3rd grade vision screening will be on Friday, October 7th. The school nurse will contact you if there are any concerns.

Lunch Visitor Update

We know that many of our families have enjoyed the opportunity to eat lunch with their student(s). However, due to safety and space limitations in some of our schools, district administration has made the difficult decision to keep our student lunches closed to all outside guests at this time.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and encourage you to look for other opportunities to engage with your student(s), their class, and our schools. There are many ways to get involved! If you have any questions or concerns, contact Jimmie Lake, Chief Operations Officer, at 317-594-4100 or jlake@hse.k12.in.us

Bus Update

Please remember that students may not ride a bus home with a friend. Students may only ride on a bus if they are assigned to it in Skyward.

HRE Needs You!

Both the cafeteria and library are looking for volunteers. Please click on the links below to to signup if you are interested in volunteering.
