Spring Gala Update
Our second Spring Gala served as a grand opportunity to enjoy the fellowship of friends and to support our mission. Over 300 tickets were sold, and our net, after expenses, was more than $98,000. Our thanks goes to Joanna Best, her dedicated committee, and the Gala Advisory Committee. They gave generously of their time, energy, and talents. This success is possible only with the strong support of our CWL members. Congratulations, everyone.

About Us:
Since it's founding over 95 years ago, the Children's Welfare League of Asheville has held one common purpose: to improve the lives and education of the children of Buncombe County. Today, we support 265 promising but financially vulnerable high school students by providing them much-needed monthly stipends. We give emergency funding to students identified by high school social workers. We fund endowed scholarships at the University of North Carolina Asheville and Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College so local students can achieve the dream of continuing their education. The CWL is a 501(c)(3) all volunteer organization. 100% of the money raised by the annual Spring Gala funds student support programs.
