Geography
Japan is located in Eastern Asia. It is part of a chain of islands between the North Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Japan. The climate in Japan varies in the different parts. In the North there are cool temperatures and the tropical part is in the South. Japan has many natural resources. Minerals and fish are two of them. They have no energy resouces. Japan is the worlds largest importer of coal, natural gas, and oil. Every year tsunamis and typoons occur. The landforms in Japan are mostly rugged and mountainous.
Culture
Japenese is the nationality in Japan. The ethnic groups in Japan are Japanese,Koreans , and Chinese. The language spoken is Japanese. The religions that people study are Shintoism Buddhism and Christianity.
Japenese Food
This is a sushi dish prepared raw. There is also cooked sushi. I my self love the cooked sushi. Yummy!!
Japenese Customs
This is two Japenese people bowing to each other. This considered very respectful. It means that you care and respect each other.
Japenese Art
This is a Japanese painting of a mountain. The people live in the village below. In Japan, many of their paintings are focused on nature because they honor and respect nature.
Traditional Japanese Clothing
This type clothing is called the kimono. It is a traditional clothing robe that females and males wear for special occasions. Children never wear jeans. They wear kimonos or a gown.
Goverment
The government in Japan is a parliamentary with a constitutional monarchy. The title of the Executive branch is Emporer.The name of the emporer is Akihito. There is also a prime minister whose name is Shinzo ABE. The name of the Legislative branch is Diet or Kokkai. The name of the Judicial Branch is Supreme Court. Their constitution was adopted on May 3rd, 1947. Citizens must be 20 years old to vote.
Economy
The per capita GDP is $36,200. The agricultural products are rice, sugar beets, vegetables, fruit; pork, poultry, dairy products, eggs; and fish. Japan isthe world's largest technologically advanced counrty. Japan's import partners are China,US, Australia, Saudi Arabia,and South Korea. The export partners are China , US , South Korea , Hong Kong, and Thailand. The labor force is agriculture, industry, and services.
