Learn, Develop, Create
Developing Lessons inclusive of Cultural Competency Skills
Please join us for an interactive and results oriented workshop
The workshop will provide:
- Increased understanding of cultural competency in the classroom
- Creation of at least one lesson plan for immediate use
- Strategies for having meaningful conversations with students when the topics are challenging for adults
- Ideas for taking books and games and connecting them to themes of cultural competency. For one example, you may want to check my blog on how to use Legos to talk about privilege http://www.jencort.com/#!How-do-Legos-Mittens-Gloves-and-Bandanas-Teach-Kids-about-Privilege/c1s2s/E52C8E2F-EE24-4545-B3DB-AD54DBABD65C
