LEAD 2021: Canned Food Drive
This past week, the second graders had visitors from GRACE to kick off their canned food drive. After watching a Kid President video, the second graders came up with a plan to provide food for those in our community for the upcoming holiday season. They then pitched the plan to Mrs. Halliburton for approval and feedback, exhibiting the traits of effective communicators and collaborative workers. Please be on the look out for more information about how you can assist second graders in reaching the canned food goals and for other exciting community service projects from other grades and groups in the coming weeks and months.
Helping our students become positive participants in our community is another way we are Building an Excellent School Together!

Phone Calls
In an effort to streamline our campus communication process, we will no longer be using the phone call system for reminders of campus events, special meetings or other campus announcements. Instead, we will be relying on text message notifications, emails and updates on our campus Facebook page and website. In the event of a campus or district emergency, we will use all communication channels available to notify parents of the latest information - including phone calls.
Some of you may already receive text message alerts; however, if you have not signed up to receive these messages, instructions are included below.
To sign up for text alerts, please text “Yes” to 68453 to subscribe to the service. The cell number must be listed in Skyward Family Access in order to receive text messages from the district office or Bransford. You may check or change the phone number listed by logging in to Family Access and clicking the button to update your phone numbers. Please be aware, some cell phone carriers will not allow text messages from short code numbers.

Please consider signing up for a 30 minute shift. If you have an older child that needs volunteer hours, this is a great opportunity for them.
