Africans are now American Citizens!

When the 14th amendment was created around 1865, the Civil War had just ended, defeating the Confederacy. After the war there were still controversies about the status of the slaves, so the Congress created the 13th and the 14th amendment. Most of the Southern states did not agree upon the amendments but it was ratified because 3/4 of the states agreed.
When the Supreme Court adopted the amendment they started putting restrictions on it so it was not upheld the way it should have been. For example they were aloud to uphold segregation as long as there was a place for both blacks and whites, the idea was separate but equal.
Hopefully, it will be reversed and the Africans will have their freedom again...
