JUNE is here!
Happy JUNE everyone! As we move into the end of the school year, there are things to keep in mind for each learning enviornment. TOAST will play host to 4 programs this summer geared towards the success and additional supports for our scholars as well as visiting scholars from other home schools. Rooms will be used for SPED and general education summer school programming as well as Music. The YMCA will be here as it has in the past years too.
Reminder: Grade 4 Science Tests continue this week. Pick up is schedule for Science Tests and SLO's on June 3rd, 2015
Tweets from Mr. Flynn!

School to Prison Pipeline Reality Continues: The video link below is just one of many coming out regarding this topic. TOAST, and every school, has a responsibility to make sure we are informed and up-to-date on this topicas we make plans with PBIS and support programs for our scholars.
Ending The School To Prison Pipeline
Taking Risks and Trying Something New: Thank you to everyone who took the time to try something new and take risks with the goal of success for our scholars. It has paid off more than you know and for the ideas that didn't take flight right away......try, try again! The video below is just a reminder of a few people you may know that tried, failed, and tried again..😀 I would suggest showing this video to your scholars who may feel that it is not worth the time and effort to try and possibly fail at something. As long as you fail forward, you can't go wrong.
Famous Failures
Teacher purchased Rugs and Fan Room
Upon a visit from the district reviewing the building, a few items came up to be fixed by the end of the school year. Any rugs purchased by classroom teachers must be pulled up. This is due to them not being fire retardant. I have asked Mr. Clas to research ways to make these fire retardant by reaching out to our district head of building and grounds. Until then ALL RUGS PURCHASED BY CLASSROOM TEACHERS need to be pulled up and placed aside.
The Fan Room is another area that will need to cleaned out as noted in earlier emails to all staff. At no time should additional items be placed in this room.
