A reminder from our School Health Tech, Ms. Stephanie
Hello PV Parents,
We have seen an uptick in colds/flu lately, so we wanted to send a gentle reminder. If your child has any complaints of any symptoms, please keep them at home and notify our attendance. The number for the attendance line is 858-538-0437. Please include your student’s: name, grade, teacher, and *reason for absence (this is the most important piece of information next to your student’s name).
Any student that comes to the health office and presents with symptoms will be sent home as we are trying our best to prevent any spread to the rest of our school community.
If your student is home or is sent home due to symptoms, we ask that they please test for Covid (you may share the results with me via email: scahiwat@powayusd.com ) and stay home until symptoms are significantly improved. If you bring your student to see a doctor, please provide us with the doctor’s note.
We appreciate your understanding and commitment to a healthy campus for all our Penguins.
With Gratitude,
Stephanie C.

A message from our school health tech, Ms. Stephanie
Hello PVES Families,
I just wanted to send a very big THANK YOU to ALL our families for the donations that have come into the health office. The response from our Park Village Community has been overwhelming and outstanding and we are so grateful. Every tissue, bandaid, plastic bag, and cotton ball will be used to keep our penguins comforted and healthy. So, thank you again from our whole hearts for your kindness and support. Our staff, our school and our students are so lucky to have such an amazing community.
With gratitude,

FREE OR REDUCED-PRICE MEALS APPLICATION
IT’S NOT JUST ABOUT FREE AND REDUCED MEALS
Although school meals are now free to all students under California’s new Universal Meals Program, the application for free and reduced-price meals is still very important. School funding depends in part on the number of students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals. With all students now eating for free, fewer families are completing the application and schools are at risk of losing funds. Household income information is confidential and applying online is quick and easy. Plus, students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals may also qualify for discounts on transportation, ESS, SAT and AP tests, home internet, and college application fees. Apply online at MySchoolApps.com, or pick up a paper application in the school office.
