Cordelia Hills Update

12/2/2019

Principals Message

Welcome back and Happy December. We have three weeks before the Winter Break. It is a busy week and with so many auxiliary activities it is sometimes easy to lose sight of our academic goals.

On morning announcements this morning, I asked everyone to set a short term goal for the next three weeks. Whether it is reading a certain number of books, meeting a math goal, practicing kindness, or getting more sleep, I hope each student and adult on campus can set a goal. Thanks for your support as we end 2019 on a strong, positive note!

Miracle on Canyon Hills Drive Winter Festival

Join us at our Winter Festival, hosted by PTA on Friday, December 13 from 5-8 PM in the CHE MPR. The evening includes crafts, choir performances, a dessert auction, ugly sweater contest, and just plain winter fun.

As always, our volunteers make this event a possibility. If you are interested in helping, check out the sign up genius link here:

Chromebook Theft

I am positive many of you seen reports (news/social media) related to car break-ins in the Cordelia area. We've had three chromebooks stolen out of cars in the last two weeks. Obviously, we understand that loaning chromebooks out to every student means that things will happen to them. Either way, we appreciate your care of the Chromebooks as we want to have them last a few years and want to minimize loss and the cost associated with them. Thank you and stay safe.

Cordelia Public Library--Did you know!

All Cordelia Hills students are automatically enrolled as members of the Solano County Library system. To access materials and online-resources, they use the following log-in credentials:

FSU and student ID (6 digit perm ID). Example: FSU123456

Last name: MUST BE ALL CAPS

Phone number: Do not use a phone #. Actually put the month and day of bday. So October 24 is 1024

They can use the same information to access up to 3 print materials at the library.

Check out the website!

QUAD Stair Policy

Old Policy: Students should descend quad staircases using the side staircases (the ones with two railings).

New Policy: Students should descend quad staircases using any staircase with a railing. Please avoid using the large staircases when coming down. It isn't safe.

Free Breakfast for ALL students, 2019-2020

Starting this year, breakfast is free for all students (free, reduced, and paid accounts).

The Cover Letter in English and Spanish is linked here! Breakfast at CHE starts at approximately 7:50.

Please note that students reporting to breakfast must remain in the MPR for the entirety of the period before school. We ask that they avoid walking about campus and report directly to the breakfast.
