Central Update
Spring Break Edition
Good Morning Central Campers,
Spring is upon us and that means we are looking ahead towards summer and even next year! As we go into our Spring Break, we want to make sure you are well informed about some great things coming our way! Please read below for some updates as well as an opportunity to give us some feedback as to what's on your mind as we look forward to the 2018 - 2019 school year!
Confluence Conference
This conference is not your regular 1-day conference. There will be innovative sessions with local and national ed-tech leaders as well as keynote speaker Carl Hooker (creator of iPadpalooza and LearnFest). Live local music and food trucks will be on site during lunch!
This event does cost $40 per person but we want to cover that cost if you are willing to go and learn (then implement and share!!) If you are wanting to attend Confluence, please send an email to Colter Cox ASAP. After spring break, registration will be open to participants outside of LCISD and spots will fill up.
Camp Invention
If you haven't heard, Lubbock - Cooper Central will host Camp Invention this summer! This one-week education based camp will be July 23rd - 27th from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm. We are excited to host this camp with our very own Whitney Jones as the camp director! LCISD staff members receive $30 off the registration price for their own children. If you are interested in this for your children or yourself please contact Colter Cox or Whitney Jones directly. The camp is for Kinder - 5th-grade students but there are opportunities for middle and high school students as well as adults! Spaces are limited so register at campinvention.org or visit with Mrs. Jones today!
