Track Change Requests
Student Assignment Updates
In December, the Board of Education approved the 2018-2019 Student Enrollment Plan.
The address lookup feature found HERE is a good resource if you have any questions about if/how you are affected by this plan.
Rising 5th grade students only will be able to grandfather back to their previous school and their siblings will be able to join them but for 1 year only. All grandfathered students will be approved, but without district bus transportation, if the request is made during the Request for Transfer Period (Feb. 20-Mar. 6)
Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration for the 2018-2019 school year was scheduled for Thursday, January 4th. Due to WCPSS being closed, Kindergarten registration began on Monday, January 8th. You can come by the school to register your Kindergartener at any point. Enrolling early helps for planning purposes. Please review the enrollment process by following the link below. Please also help us by communicating with your friends, family, and neighbors. http://www.wcpss.net/Page/275

ALL FOR BOOKS- Dog vs. Cat
Our goal is to ensure that each and every student at HSES has the opportunity to choose at least one book that inspires them to read. We are seeking donations through the Scholastic All for Books program to help achieve that goal. This year, for every donation of $1 of more to the All for Books program, your child will receive a cat or dog to write their name on. Students will drop their coins and bills into a dog or cat can to vote in the HSES Dog vs. Cat contest. Who will win?!?
Volunteers Needed!
Our Book Fair cannot be a success without volunteers! Please visit our Sign Up Genius to see how you can help. You can use the links below or search using the email hsesncpta@gmail.com.

Pet Photos!!
This years theme for the Book Fair is "Paws for Books!" We will be doing a bulletin board for the book fair and would love to include photos of our students with pets, especially reading to their pets! If you don't have a dog or cat, reading with your favorite stuffed animal is perfect! Send in your photos, no larger than 4x6 and drop them in the Yellow PTA Mailbox in the lobby. Photos will not be returned. If you have any questions, please email Melissa at melisllew@gmail.com. Thanks for your support!
McTeacher Night
We are excited to partner with the community and PTA for our school to do a McTeacher Night again for our students and the community/Cheetah Pride Night for PTA. McTeacher Night is a great evening where HSES staff will serve food to students and their families. Details for the event, scheduled for February 27th, can be found HERE.
