- At your TBT's work on reviewing your First Common Assessment
- Give your Math Comm Rep a copy of the test ; or if your grade level uses just part of the test for your CA, please give a copy of those specific questions to your Math Comm Rep

- Our Math Committee will be taking a look at where the strengths/weaknesses that you report to find possible commonalities among the grade levels during the month of April and May
- Help your Math Comm Rep on your TBT to find data that shows the areas that we need to focus on at your grade level. (Our Math Committee will meet again April 26)
- Provide notes/data to your Math Comm Rep by April 25th.
2. NSGR
Our NSGR spreadsheets need to be completed for the Spring. They are not due until the end of the school year, but I wanted you to have them now so you can add the data when you have them finished. On the NSGR spreadsheet, find your grade level tab and enter each student's spring GRL. (This is all a tab in our Coaches Playbook)
- Here is a quick reference guide for administration of NSGRA.
Continued Reminder:
LEXIA MINUTES - We must be getting our students on the Lexia program. We have a very low percentage in our building of students who are reaching their minimum minute usage, with only 53%.
The program has proven to improve reading skills in grades K-5. Please take a look at your own data and make adjustments for those students who need more Lexia time in the program. If you have questions, please see me.
Copy Machine Clarification
Big Projects: Use the Old Office/ Room 110/ or Library
Minimal Copies (10 copies or less): Use Old Office/ Room 110/ Library/ or the Main Office
If there are Kids Hope mentors in Room 110; please know that you may still use the copy machine. That is a work space for our teachers as well. We tried to keep our copy machines spaced out throughout the building to support everyone.
A Little Update on Our Future Plans:
- Removal of the Clerk Desk in the Old Office (This summer)
- Return of the big conference table; to create a Teacher Meeting place in the new Coaches Corner (This summer)
- PA system moved to the New Office (This summer)
- Old Clinic becomes a Paper storage room

Check Out Claire! UDL Shout-out from our Assistant Superintendent!
Mrs. Crowley is an intervention specialist and works as an additional support to students in ELA as required by their IEP. Basically, she is providing additional instruction and time on task from what they are already getting in the general education setting. She is able to build on their learning and fill the gaps that they may have. As you will see not only does she integrate strategies she knows help her students, she also uses the time to build social/emotional skills as well. Keep up the good work Claire!
And, a Big Award for Claire to End the Week! Congratulations!! Very Well Deserved! We are better because you joined our TEAM.

The Mustang Mindset...Learning about the R FACTOR
We enjoyed the morning on Monday together, as we worked through the R Factor training. It was a good time to reflect on ourselves and maybe put some new things in place, both in our personal and professional lives. We can only control our own response, and to create the best response, we need to press pause, and think a minute about what we'd like our outcome to be.
There will be more training in the upcoming school year, to move forward with a better understanding of the R Factor. But, in the meantime we need to work on our discipline driven responses, to be the best version of ourselves. It's not always easy, but the more we work at it, the more natural it will become.
Thanks for participating!
