"In this place you do have a lot of water, but it is unclean water."
-Moses Chinyama Overspill Local Pastor
People in Zimbabwe had to dig their own shallow well to access water.
The same bucket and rope had to be used the whole time, which put the water at risk.
Problems
From 2008 to 2009, an epidemic of cholera and cases of typhoid ravaged the region south of Zimbabwe’s capital, killing at least 4,300 and infecting 98,000 more!
In the midst of the turmoil, churches didn’t know how to alleviate the pain of their communities, still drinking from hand-dug wells open to contaminants.
Our Goal
We hope to use our churches to encourage people to learn who they are in their community.
The people in this community in Zimbabwe use the church as a development tool for where they live.
Living Water
We are able to provide working wells for the people of this community and other ones just like them.
The borehole our organization has provided them has led people to the church and that is what's best for their community.
SUPPORT
With your support, churches can extend safe water.
The impact can be world wide.
Your support will restore health and empower local ministers who work to purify hearts, renew families, and draw more people into the Body of Christ.
Start a Give Well campaign—set a fundraising goal, gather your friends, and start empowering a local church.
Adapt
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
