Her full name was Sylvia Alice Earle. She was born in 1986 and died on 1992. The field she worked in was oceanography. The country she was born is was the United states. Where she worked most of the time was the gulf of Mexico.
Why my scientist is famous.
She was famous for her research, books and documentaries to raise awareness of the threats that over fishing and pollution pose to the worlds oceans. She also was among the first explore to make use of modern self contained under water breathing scuba dear.
How she benefited the world.
One reason i think she benefited the world of oceanography, because they (researchers like her) will be able to go on longer explorations and have a better chance of finding/discovering something new.
