Book Recommendation
Book Recommended: Jonathan Livingston Seagull
Author: Richard Bach
Recommended by: Cst.John Fernhout (School Resource Officer)
Book Description: The book tells the story of Jonathan Livingston Seagull, a seagull who is bored with daily squabbles over food. Seized by a passion for flight, he pushes himself, learning everything he can about flying, until finally his unwillingness to conform results in his expulsion. An outcast, he continues to learn, becoming increasingly pleased with his abilities as he leads a peaceful and happy life.
Why it is recommended: I enjoyed how this book looks at how we need to find what's important to us and work at improving how it fits into our lives, think outside of secular thinking and focus on what's truly important to us.
