Runnin WJ Ranch
Runnin WJ Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center
We Need You !
The Runnin WJ Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center is a Christian based non-profit organization, looking for caring individuals (14yrs & older) to donate their time to help children and adults with disabilities. We are in need of Horseleaders and Barn help(those who have good horse experience) to lead, groom, and tack horses during a class, Sidewalkers (non- horsey people) to assist and interact with the rider during a class, and ranch maintenance assistants . On the back of a horse, our riders learn how to be “free”, experiencing things they never have before. Volunteers become “cheerleaders” and are part of a team that accept, protect, encourage, and celebrate their riders! Volunteers are the heart of the Ranch, without you we could not exist!
New Volunteer training/orientation will take place at the ranch 4802 S. Kings Hwy on Saturday August 27, from 9am-12pm and on Monday August 29 from 6-9pm (need only to attend 1 session) but we will accept volunteers year round. Classes will begin September 19, and will run through May of next year. 1 hour a week is required, if possible, to volunteer and we can work around most schedules. Don’t miss the opportunity to make a difference in another person’s life.
To sign up, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Narda Launius at 903-838- 3223.
