Reading to your students, or them reading independently has so many benefits to their learning. According to www.ekidstation.com the 5 benefits of reading are:

* Improves Brain Function

* Increases your Knowledge

* Theory of Mind/Tolerance

* Enhances your Vocabulary

* Sharpens your Memory.

Reading is an essential life skill. Reading can also help enhance a student's imagination and can help foster concentration. Reading is essential in all content areas. Reading books with your students is a great way to spend quality time together. After a busy, hectic day, it's one way both parents and students can unwind and relax. Reading is a great source of entertainment. Some say it creates a movie in your head.

The Scholastic Book Fair is a great opportunity to add to your home library. You don't want to miss out.
