A Bit About Them
The Western small footed bat is a member of the large and wildly known distributed genus Myotis. They're within the bat family Vespertilionidae. These animals occur widely in western North America.
Size
Their total body length ranges from 3 and 3 1/4 inches. Wingspan is 21-25cm.

It is easily confused with other Myotis species.

Habitat/Distribution
It is common throughout western US and arid regions of Alberta, Saskatchewan,and BC.
Specimens have been collected in Dinosaur Provincial Park.
Its is the last species to enter hibernacula but the first to leave.
Nursery colonies have been found in caves and rock crevices and clay banks.

Lives in a clumped, disjointed population about which little is known
