Why Is It Important to Inspire Our Students To Be Innovative?
These fantastic men and women shared that they all became inventors and inspired to be life-long learners by tinkering and creating prototypes to solve problems with materials that were common, every day items. I would like our school to offer Camp Invention this summer. The curriculum of Camp Invention is inspired directly from inventors who have been inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame Museum in Washington, D.C. Camp Invention is a 5 day 32 hour, hands on, fully immersive, innovative STREAM experience for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Students that are in grades 7 and 8 are able to volunteer as leaders in training. Please view the two videos I am attaching below. One video is from Steve Sasson the inventor of the digital camera. The other video is for Camp Invention 2020. In the Thursday folder on January 23 I will put an interest form to see which families would be interested in supporting a Camp Invention this summer at St. Bart's.
