School Safety Drill Act Information
Per the School Safety Drill Act covered under Illinois Statute (105 ILCS 12/20), this notification is being provided to parents and guardians of students attending Clow Elementary School. On Friday, September 10, 2021 at approximately 9:15 am, Clow Elementary School will conduct a lockdown drill that will include school staff, students, and Naperville law enforcement agency representative(s).
We understand that some parents/guardians may want to opt out of this type of drill for their child. As the parent/guardian of a student attending Clow School, you have the option to exempt your child, for any reason, from the drill. If you choose to exempt your child from the drill, please notify Clow School Secretary, Donna Weston, at 630-428-6064 or donna_weston@ipsd.org no later than the day prior to this drill.
Thank you for your continued support.
Fall Benchmark Testing
Indian Prairie School District 204 will administer aimswebPlus benchmark assessments this fall to students in kindergarten through eighth grade. These brief Illinois Learning Standards aligned assessments evaluate student academic performance and growth in the areas of reading and mathematics. Specifically, depending on grade level, literacy measures will assess vocabulary, phonological awareness, word recognition, reading comprehension and reading fluency. Additionally, depending on grade level, numeracy measures will assess number sense, operations, algebraic thinking, measurement/data, geometry, fractions and ratios/proportions. The assessment results are used by teachers and administrators to assist with instructional planning and differentiation at the grade, classroom and student level.
Should you have any questions regarding aimswebPlus, please contact Mrs. Bennett, Mrs. Vogel or your child's classroom teacher.
School Spirit Day
We are looking forward to our first School Spirit Day at Clow School! This will take place TOMORROW, Friday, September 3rd. We invite students and staff to wear our school colors, green and gold, or wear Clow spirit wear on the first Friday of each month. Stay tuned for more information from the Clow PTA regarding the opportunity to order spirit wear.
