3-D Printer!

Remember the first day of school in 2011 when each teacher was given a laptop to use in the classrooms? That was the beginning of a technology transformation for all in our learning community. It was the impetus for the1:1 laptop initiative for our students and teachers. My how teaching and learning have changed! We are certainly connected to one another and to the world at large as we communicate with students in other states and countries. It is gratifying to see the ways in which our teachers and students are collaborating to expand their learning opportunities. Students in the third grade at E.M. Burke are using google maps to visit countries all over the world; Bellmawr Park kindergarten students have gone to Italy and Germany; the students in the academically talented class are using a digital printer to make Darth Vader Check out the video! 8th grade students bring their own devices to school, students are making videos, using moodles, jings, e books and wikiis. Homework and grades are online; morning announcements are created live on our new video system. We are 21st Century learners!!!
