Thank you to all of our GRANDS that came and enjoyed breakfast. We loved having you all on campus. The students had smiles on their faces for the rest of the day.
One of the biggest jobs we have on an early childhood campus is to focus not only on academics but the child as a whole. Every morning each class goes over the social-emotional topic for the week. Social-emotional learning is vital for students because it teaches them crucial life skills, including the ability to understand themselves, develop positive self-talk, take responsibility for their actions and forge relationships with the people around them. Some of the topics we have been talking about lately are handling emotions, conflict resolution, friendship and how to calm yourself when upset or angry.
