Vote for Thomas Jefferson!
"I believe there is room for change." - Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson believed that both the poor and the rich should represent the people. His opponents, the Federalists, believed that only a select few of the rich population should represent the people. John Adams was among these Federalists.
Dirt on John Adams
John Adams put his interests and his party's interests before his country's interests. Before his term as president ended, Adams established several last minute judgeships that he gave to other Federalists to get the upper hand in the next election. In addition, Adams passed the Alien and Sedition Acts that were "designed to crush the opposition" to ensure that he would win the upcoming election.
