PATRIOTIC OBSERVANCE

May 16th, 1939 - The Philadelphia Athletics (now the Oakland Athletics) and the Cleveland Indians (now Cleveland Guardians) met at Shibe Park in Philadelphia for the first baseball game to be played under the lights in the American League. SOURCE

PROM TICKETS

Prom is at Artcraft @ the Santa Maria Airport on May 21st from 7pm - 11pm. Prom Tickets will be $70 this week and sales will end Wednesday, May 18th at 3:30pm Tickets are on sale at the business office or online at the AGHS webstore. A reminder, your Prom contract must be completed and turned in by May 18th as well.

FINAL CALL GREEK WEEK TSHIRTS

Final Call, Greek Week T-Shirts are now $8 and on sale until May 18th. Greek Week t-shirts can be purchased at the AGHS webstore or at the Student Business Office. Five points per shirt will be earned for purchasing your designated class color. Show your class pride and buy one soon!

Homework Center

The Homework Center has new hours! From 3:00-4:00 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, come to the HW Center to have a quiet place to focus and complete your work! Be sure to show up before 3:15 as the HW Center will close if there are no students by then. See you there!

MAKE SURE TO CLEAR YOUR ABSENCES

Clear Absences by Midnight Monday, 5/24/22. Attendance Month Deadline - Please make sure that the Attendance Office is informed of the reason for any still unverified absences for 4/25/22 - 5/20/22. After that date, we will not be able to make any changes.

WORK PERMITS

Attention all students that plan on working this summer. Please submit a completed work permit request form to Mr. Coville ASAP, or email him at trevor.coville@lmusd.org. Anybody that needs their current permit extended can stop by Room 510, or email Mr. Coville as well.

AGHS IMPROV TEAM PRESENTS

Wingardium Laughiosa Hosted by Ashley Teran. Friday, March 20th at 7pm. Tickets are $5 at the door and this will feature the final Improv performance by our seniors.

AGHS DANCE COMPANY

Dance Company Auditions: May 18th at 3:30 in the Dance room. Contact Mrs. Solis in room 150 if you have any questions.

Blood Drive

FNL SPRING BLOOD DRIVE

Sign-up for the annual FNL Spring Blood Drive! Participants will earn 5 hours of community service for their donation, along with the opportunity for other awesome prizes from Vitalant Blood Services! Must be 16 or older to donate. Space is limited and sign-ups close on May 17th. Come and sign-up with Mr. Sligh in Room 308 today!

COLLEGE VISITS: Seniors and juniors planning a college/military visit should stop by the Attendance Office to pick up an Excused Absence Request form ahead of their visit. If approved, up to two days may be excused. Visits that will last longer than two days would require a Short Term Independent Study Contract to excuse the absence.

The Google Form for Community Service Hours is used for the graduation requirement of 20 hours. Any hours in addition to your graduation requirement should be submitted on the Give Back 250 Google Classroom with Mr. Hurtado.

LIGHTHOUSE REALITY TOUR

Lighthouse's next Reality Tour is coming up on Monday, May 23rd at the Atascadero Lake Park Pavillion. This event is open to all parents and children throughout our county. The event is appropriate for children aged 12 and older and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The goal of the event is to foster a dialogue between children and parents regarding the risks of drug abuse.

TEACHER PARTICIPATION: As case managers and counselors are setting up meetings with students with Fs, it is absolutely vital and expected that all teachers participate in IEP, 504 and SST meetings. It is imperative that you provide your feedback and participation...a sub can be provided if needed, just let the case manager know. Please indicate on the calendar invite why you can’t make it if you decline.
