Classroom Happenings
As you all know this week is SBA week. We will be testing on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. It is very important that your student come to school on time, well rested, and with full bellies. This is their chance to show people everywhere just how smart they are. Today I will be contacting all parents who have signed up to bring snacks for testing. To celebrate the end of testing we will be having a banana split party on Friday at 2pm.
MOVIE NIGHT
Fifth grade will be hosting a Frozen movie night on Thursday, April 10th from 6-8pm in the West Homer gym. This is our last big push to raise funds for the trip we took to Ageya this Fall.

Art Fair
At this point, your child should have their project selected. All projects must be complete by April 21st, but students are encouraged to bring projects to school as soon as they are complete.
All students in grades 3-6 will be participating in West Homer Elementary’s school wide Art Show, May 2, 2014. Each student will submit one piece of art which can be made at home or school and should be something they completed during this calendar year. It is the intent that all art pieces are entirely student creations.
As students are selecting which piece of art they would like to submit for the Art Show it’s important for them to think about how they’d like to display their art. All two dimensional work needs a “finished” border and hanger.
Art pieces will not be judged, but local artists will be providing written feedback for student work.
Thank you for supporting your child with this project.
Sincerely,
West Homer Elementary
